A life-giving spring is located in the villageof Ezhovo. Once upon a time, the Myrrh-bearing Icon of the Mother of God appeared on this site.

This shrine dates back to the middle of the 17th century and is related to the appearance of the miraculous image of the Most Holy Mother of Good with the holy myrrh-bearers.

I.P. Petrov, the first chairman of the regional executive committee, S.G. Chavain, the first Mari professional writer, K.F. Egorov, the first Mari artist lived in this house.
