Museum of History and Archeology

On November 4, 2018, a new museum was opened in the Republic of Mari El: the Museum of History and Archeology. At present, there are two exhibition halls: “Archaeology of the Mari Volga region: culture, people, state” and “Mari region. Milestones of history”.

The museum exhibitiondemonstrates the main periods of formation of the Mari region. In addition, there are photographs showing the significant cultural events of Mari El in 2018. A separate room is reserved for an exhibition dedicated to the archeology of the Mari Volga region, its culture and people.

The museum slogan is“Break into history!” The museum takes on a new lease of life to the history and becomes a part of its events.

It is a modern museum about ancient times. The exhibitions are multi-element with a lot of interactive parts. It is suitable for both children and adults.
