Tree of life

The opening of the sculptural composition in the Central Park of Culture and Leisure took place on November 4, 2008. It was the Day of National Unity and the 88th Anniversary of the Mari ElRepublic formation.

The sculpture is a three-figure composition - an old man, a man and a boy with national musical instruments in their hands - a harp, a bagpipe and a drum respectively.

Theheightofthemusiciansismorethanthreemeters. The sculpture corresponds to the national color of the republic and reflects the musicality of the Mari people, in the center of the sculptural group there is a tree that personifies the symbol of life and continuity Mari people generations.

The sculptor is A. Kovalchuk.
