The unveiling of the fountain-monument took place on June 24, 2011 on Republic Square of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The sculptural composition represents the figure of the archangel Gabriel holding a spear in his right hand and a ball with the sign of the messiah on the ground in his left. The sculpture is located in the center of the largest fountain in the city, and, as planned, should create the impression of floating above the surface of the water.
The installation of the sculpture of the Archangel Gabriel next to the sculpture of the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child is not accidental. It is an illustration of the events of the Gospel, when the Archangel Gabriel appeared in Nazareth to the Virgin Mary and informed her that she was chosen to become the Mother of the Savior, and that she would name her son Jesus Christ.
