The Open Air Fairy Tale Museum

Here you will meet Baba Yaga, Frog Princess, Merman and many other fairy tale characters. All sculptures are made by the national Mari artist and the sculptor Gennady AlekseevichEfremov. Fairy tale characters are made of wood. Here you can also get acquainted with the Mari heroes: Akpars - the commander of a sotnia andthe prince of the mountain Mari people, the heroOnar, the hero Chotkar, who liberated the Mari villages from nomads. The Open Air Fairy Tale Museum in Yoshkar-Ola is the desire of its creators to combine Russian folk tales and Mari folklore.
