This small area of the southern taiga within the city is located in a flood plain of the river Malaya Kokshaga. Its area is about 149 hectares. Oak, Siberian larch, Manchurian walnut, Berlin poplar trees grow here. It is known that there is a sacred place in the Oak grove, where the Mari traditional prayers are held.
