In the Museum of the Yoshkar-Ola History, you will touch the history of the ancient Tsaryovokokshaysk(that is how the city used to be called). You will be able to walk along its streets, while seeing into houses, looking at the old photographs, household items of the citizens, church mock-up models. You can drop in for tea in one of the bourgeois houses and, finally, visit a trading shop and look at the goods.
The permanent exhibition is titled “AncientTsaryovokokshaysk”. It demonstrates the history of the capital of the Mari ElRepublic, one of the oldest cities in the Middle Volga region.
You can also attend the programs with interactive elements, games, workshops, and city tours.
